This Privacy Policy explains how Kuma handles your information. Kuma is an offline-first app where all your data resides strictly on your local device.
1. Information Stored Locally on Your Device
When you use Kuma, all data is stored exclusively on your physical device in a fast, embedded offline database. None of this data is ever transmitted to our servers or third parties.
2. Device Permissions Used
• Notifications: Used exclusively to alert you of interval timers, scheduled habit reminders, or renewal dates.
• Biometrics: Used solely to lock and unlock the app locally via your device secure enclave.
• Local Storage: Used only when exporting CSV/JSON backups or importing database files.
3. Cloud Backups
If you use cloud backup features (Google Drive or iCloud), the file is transferred directly between your physical device and your personal cloud account using official vendor APIs. We have zero access to your credentials or files.
4. Zero Tracking & Telemetry
Kuma contains zero tracking cookies, zero marketing trackers, zero telemetry profiling, and zero third-party advertising SDKs.
5. Data Deletion & Export
You can export your complete database at any time in standard formats (JSON/CSV) or permanently wipe all app data through the settings screen or by uninstalling the application.
