Kuma Apps builds focused, offline-first mobile applications: Paisa, Pomodoro, Habits, and Subscriptions. We believe privacy is an essential human right, not a luxury feature.
1. Our Foundational Privacy Architecture
Kuma Apps operates under a zero-knowledge, offline-first engineering philosophy. We deliberately design our apps so that your personal, financial, and behavioral data never enters our custody.
We do not operate backend user databases, user accounts, tracking trackers, or telemetry SDKs.
2. Device Storage & Local Databases
All app data—including spending entries, focus session intervals, habit streaks, and recurring subscriptions—resides strictly inside an embedded local database (such as ObjectBox or SQLite) on your physical device.
When you back up your data, you back it up directly to your personal cloud accounts (e.g. Google Drive, iCloud) using official OS-level APIs. We never intermediate or possess keys to your backups.
3. Zero Advertisements & Zero Third-Party Trackers
None of our apps contain third-party ad networks (like AdMob, Unity, or Meta Audience Network).
None of our apps profile your behavior, sell your device identifiers to data brokers, or use invasive analytics libraries.
4. System Permissions
Our applications only request system permissions when strictly necessary for the core offline function:
• Notifications: For local countdown alarms, streak reminders, and subscription renewal alerts.
• Biometrics: Optional Face ID / Fingerprint protection enforced exclusively inside your device secure enclave.
• Storage / Files: Only when explicitly saving manual CSV/JSON export files or attaching receipts.
5. Children's Privacy
Because our apps do not gather or transmit personal data to the internet, we comply inherently with COPPA, GDPR-K, and worldwide minors privacy regulations.
